The carbonara, and what we make in house

The carbonara is one of the five dishes the house recommends most. On our menu it comes with its ingredients: spaghetti with Italian guanciale, egg, pecorino romano and black pepper. And there are three things the menu calls homemade: the gnocchi, the pesto and the lasagne.

Linguine with mussels, clams and cherry tomatoes, served from the pan
Linguine frutti di mare: clams, mussels and prawns.

Server Luca gave us a great time with a nice beer, lovely bruschetta and great advice on beaches to stay during our visit. 10/10 will return if only for the lasagna we could smell coming from the kitchen.

Had a great time at this restaurant. Excellent service - Luca was wonderful and took the time to explain the menu and specialties. We were a group of 5 and had burrata salad, steaks, octopus and pizza. Their tiramisu was amazing (family recipe!) Everything was delicious and well priced. Would return!

We had a lovely meal here at 4/5pm when most locals aren’t dining but this place was open! As foreigners with jet lag on a different schedule than the locals we were grateful to find a place with great wine and food near Sagrada Família.

Before you come

Where can I eat pasta near the Sagrada Família?
Five minutes on foot from the Passion façade, at Carrer de Nàpols, 256: Via Napoli, an Italian restaurant with nineteen pasta, gnocchi and risotto dishes, a pavement terrace and a kitchen that stays open between lunch and dinner.
How do you make your carbonara?
As it says on our menu: spaghetti with Italian guanciale, egg, pecorino romano and black pepper. It is one of the five dishes the house recommends most.
What do you make in house?
The gnocchi, the pesto for the linguine and the lasagne: the three our menu calls homemade.
Which pasta dishes do you have?
Nineteen, between pasta, gnocchi, ravioli and risotto: from spaghetti aglio e olio or maccheroni alla Norma to linguine frutti di mare, tagliatelle with mushrooms and truffle, or pistachio risotto.
Is this the best pasta in Barcelona?
That is not for us to say. What we can show you is what our guests write: 4.4 on Google from 1,964 reviews, and comments like “Highly recommend the lasagna!!” or “The pasta was very good”. They are a little further up, word for word.
Is there pasta without meat or fish?
Yes. For example, the spaghetti aglio e olio with rocket and parmesan, the maccheroni alla Norma, the linguine al pesto, the gnocchi alla sorrentina or the buffalo ricotta and spinach ravioli. If you have any allergy or intolerance, tell us when you book and we will tell you what can be adapted.
Do I need to book?
It is the safest bet, especially for dinner. Booking takes less than a minute and you get the confirmation straight away.
Can we eat in the afternoon?
Yes: the kitchen never stops. We are open every day from 11:30 am to midnight with no break between lunch and dinner, so come whenever suits you.
Can we come with children?
Of course. The menu has dishes for children: pizza piccolina, spaghetti bolognese, a burger or a chicken fillet.
